Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Consultant

Nevin Caple is a consultant, entrepreneur, and educator committed to developing inclusive leaders and cultures within sport. As the founder and CEO of Return On Inclusion™, a sport-specific learning platform and consultancy endorsed by The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), Nevin has played a key role in advancing diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives throughout the United States.

With over a decade of experience, Nevin has supported coaches, administrators, staff, and athletes across various sports organizations, including the U.S. Tennis Association (USTA), the U.S. Olympic Committee, the U.S. Center for SafeSport, United Soccer Coaches, Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), and others. She serves as a faculty member for WeCOACH and co-developed the NCAA DIII ONETEAM Facilitator Training. Nevin is the first-ever diversity and inclusion consultant for the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA), the oldest Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) athletic conference in the United States. She is particularly focused on increasing the recruitment and retention of Black, Indigenous, Student-Athletes of Color (BIPOC) and is currently leading the development of an NCAA Training-of-Trainers program for coaches and administrators to further this mission.

In addition to her work with sports organizations, Nevin sits on the Board of Directors at Stonewall Foundation and the National Center for Lesbian Rights Leadership Council. Most recently, she co-created an anti-racism pledge with student-athletes and administrators at The Vermont State Colleges System, which was adopted by the Board of Trustees.

Nevin’s work has been recognized by major brands, including Nike and Athleta. One of her proudest achievements is being honored as an emerging leader by The White House under the Obama Administration. A former college basketball team captain and graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Nevin currently resides in New York City with her wife.
